Soft, layered greens sweep across the crown in thick palette-knife strokes, with touches of ivory and sage that feel like leaves flickering in a gentle breeze.
Throughout the branches, little glints of gold catch the eye like sunlit olives, tiny sparks of warmth scattered through the foliage.
While I was painting it, I kept imagining a quiet afternoon in an olive grove: the hush of air, the silvery leaves shifting, and that peaceful feeling you get when everything slows down. I built the texture generously so the surface feels alive up close you can see every mark, every ridge of paint, and the way the light changes as you move around it.
To me, a simple wooden frame is the perfect finish, grounding the earthy palette while allowing the green and gold to glow. Hung on the wall, it instantly brings a sense of serenity, warmth, and timeless elegance.
